Frontier Developments (AIM:FDEV), the Cambridge-based developer and publisher of creative management simulation games, announced Planet Zoo 2 will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 13 October, positioning the sequel to its popular game title as a generational step in animation and animal behaviour for the franchise.

Planet Zoo 2 introduces fully customisable aquariums and aviaries, new species and behaviours, and a conservation mechanic that lets players revitalise large Wildlife Reserves and release animals into natural habitats, the company announced.

The company said it will set the suggested retail price for the Standard Edition at £39.99/$49.99/€49.99, and the Deluxe Edition at £54.99/$64.99/€64.99.

It highlighted that it is a direct sequel to Planet Zoo and forms part of Frontier's core creative management simulation portfolio built on its COBRA technology.
