Synergia lifts Cambay gas output on new well tie-ins

It has boosted gas production at its Cambay licence in India after completing a pipeline tie-in for three legacy wells, with further gains expected within days.

Synergia Energy (AIM:SYN), which holds a 50% working interest in the Cambay production sharing contract in India, said gas output has risen to 124 thousand standard cubic feet per day (Mscfd) following well workovers.

The increase follows the completion of an in-field pipeline network connecting the C-19z, C-64 and C-74 legacy wells to the C-73 gas export facility.

Gas from the C-19z and C-64 wells is now being co-mingled with output from the long-running C-73 and C-77H wells, which have produced continuously for the past 3.5 years.

Synergia expects total production to climb to approximately 200 Mscfd once associated gas from the C-74 well comes online over the coming days.

Gas from a fourth well, C-08, has yet to be tied into the network.

SP Angel analyst David Mirzai says the completion of pipeline tie‑ins and well workovers at Cambay represents a positive operational update for Synergia’s ongoing programme.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Synergia has brought three legacy wells into production at Cambay via pipeline tie-ins, lifting gas output to 124 Mscfd and positioning the asset for a near-term jump to ~200 Mscfd once the C-74 well's associated gas comes online within days. The move demonstrates execution on well workovers and infrastructure completion, converting idle capacity into revenue-generating production at a 50% working interest.

Investment case

This is incremental production growth from existing infrastructure and legacy wells rather than new discovery or reserve addition. The jump from 124 to 200 Mscfd is material relative to the company's scale, but depends on C-74 coming online as expected; a fourth well (C-08) remains unconnected, leaving further upside if tied in.
