Ultimate Products (AIM:ULTP) has appointed Simon Harrison as chief executive officer, naming him CEO designate from 5 September and to assume the role on 26 October, replacing Andrew Gossage.

Harrison joins from Princes Group where he is currently CEO and brings FMCG leadership, operating discipline and commercial experience to Ultimate Products, the Oldham-headquartered owner of homeware brands including Salter and Beldray.

Andrew Gossage will step down from the CEO role on 26 October after more than 20 years in executive roles with the Group and, following a short sabbatical, will return as a Non-Executive Director from 1 May 2027. Founder Simon Showman will move from the executive team to a Non-Executive Director role on 1 June while remaining President and Founder.

Following the changes the Board will comprise two Executive Directors and six Non-Executive Directors, of whom four are Independent Non-Executive Directors including the Independent Chair, the company said.

"He brings outstanding leadership, strong operating discipline and considerable commercial experience, and we are confident he has the right credentials to take Ultimate Products forward into its next chapter," said Christine Adshead, Chair of Ultimate Products.
