CRISM Therapeutics Corporation (AIM:CRTX) has been awarded an £896,088 grant from Innovate UK under the Biomedical Catalyst 2025 competition to fund Part 1 of an open‑label Phase 2 registration‑grade clinical trial of irinotecan‑ChemoSeed for surgically resectable glioblastoma.
The company, a UK clinical‑stage drug delivery business focused on localised and sustained chemotherapy delivery, said the 12‑month project will run across leading UK neuro‑oncology Centres of Excellence to generate safety, dosing and early efficacy data to support regulatory submissions and NHS adoption.

CRISM said the grant covers 70% of the £1.28m project cost, follows an application score of 90.6%, and is expected to provide substantial non‑dilutive funding, independent validation, faster patient recruitment and strengthened positioning for future partnering, licensing and investment discussions.
The company said it will update shareholders in the near term on the commencement and progress of the Phase 2 trial.
