The Renewables Infrastructure Group (LSE:TRIG) announced it has completed the sale of its entire 17.5% equity stake in the Beatrice offshore wind farm for total consideration of £157m, with proceeds used to cut borrowings under its revolving credit facility to £184m.
The London-listed renewable energy investment company first announced the deal on 15 June, and completion follows receipt of the required third-party consents.
The sale represents roughly 40% of TRIG's 12-month £400m capital realisation target set out at its Capital Markets Seminar in May 2026.
Beyond the RCF paydown, the transaction removes approximately £210m of project-level borrowings attributable to TRIG's stake in the 588MW Scottish project, contributing to a reduction in aggregate group borrowings of approximately £365m to roughly £1.7bn, or 43% of enterprise value.
TRIG defines enterprise value as the sum of its net asset value, RCF drawings, private placement debt and project-level debt.
Further divestment processes remain underway as the company works toward the remainder of its £400m target.
TRIG said capital realised from future disposals will be deployed according to the board's stated priorities: reducing RCF borrowings, returning capital to shareholders, and investing in higher-returning proprietary opportunities within the existing portfolio where they exceed the hurdle rate set by share buybacks.
The company's portfolio spans wind, solar and battery storage projects across six European markets with a net operational capacity of 2.3GW, which in 2025 generated enough renewable electricity to power the equivalent of 1.6m homes.
