Wizz Air Holdings (LSE:WIZZ) carried 7.48 million passengers in June, a 27.2% increase on the same month a year earlier, as the Central and Eastern European low-cost carrier pushed capacity up 27.5% to 8.14 million seats.

The load factor edged down 0.2 percentage points to 91.9%, reflecting capacity growing marginally faster than demand.

During the month, Wizz Air crossed 1,200 daily flights for the first time, while maintaining what the airline described as strong completion and on-time performance.

The airline also announced a deal to deploy Starlink's in-flight internet technology across its entire fleet from January 2027, which would make it the first European low-cost carrier to offer the service.

Over the rolling 12 months to June, Wizz Air flew 74.01 million passengers on 81.61 million seats, compared with 65.03 million passengers on 71.33 million seats in the prior 12-month period.
