Tekcapital (LSE:TEK), the AIM-listed intellectual property investment group, announced that its portfolio company Innovative Eyewear (NASDAQ:LUCY), has agreed a retail partnership with FYihealth group, Canada's FYidoctors and Visique optical chain operator.

The deal centres on the rollout of Lucyd Armor smart safety eyewear across 345 FYihealth clinics, with initial product placement expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026.

FYihealth recently launched Visiguard, a branded prescription safety eyewear programme spanning its FYidoctors and Visique locations across Canada and California, and Lucyd Armor will form part of that offering.

Innovative Eyewear, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker LUCY, sells smart eyewear under the Lucyd, Reebok, Eddie Bauer and Nautica brands.

The company framed the partnership as strategically significant given that smart eyewear doubles as a medical device, benefiting from the involvement of eye care professionals.

"With this partnership, we have made it easier than ever for Canadian patients to upgrade their eyewear with our smart features, while also receiving precise vision correction and protection," said Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear.

The FYihealth rollout represents Innovative Eyewear's first national distribution in Canada, a market the company values at $4.5 billion.
