ProBiotix Health (AQSE:PBX) has signed a commercial cooperation with iProbio to supply its patented LPLDL® strain for CARDIObiom+®, a cardiometabolic health food supplement launched in Slovakia.
The partnership targets a market with elevated cardiovascular risk, cardiovascular mortality in Slovakia is cited as about 50% above the EU average and hypercholesterolaemia affects roughly 49% of adults, the company highlighted, and said it aims to convert ProBiotix’s clinical evidence into local consumer sales.
"Our partnership with iProbio to supply our unique LPLDL® strain to be used in their new CARDIObiom+® product is further validation of the growing scalability of our business," said Steen Andersen, Chief Executive Officer.
Under the agreement, ProBiotix will supply the active ingredient LPLDL® while iProbio, the consumer brand of Slovak life sciences group PerBiotiX s.r.o., will handle manufacturing, packaging, branding and initial distribution via its direct e-commerce channel.
CARDIObiom+® pairs LPLDL® with a standardised polyphenol-rich lemon verbena and hibiscus extract plus vitamins D3 and B1 in a dual-capsule daily dose aimed at supporting cholesterol, lipid and glucose metabolism and overall metabolic balance.
The product launch coincided with World Hypertension Day, and distribution is planned to expand from Slovakia into the Czech Republic and additional Central European markets.
