Peel Hunt (AIM:PEEL) expects to report revenue of approximately £62.5m for the six months to 30 September, which it described as a strong first-half performance.
The UK mid-cap focused investment bank said it gained market share in equity capital markets (ECM) and saw healthy institutional demand for equity raises during the period, alongside completing a number of significant advisory mandates.
Unlike the prior-year period, which was concentrated around large M&A transactions, H1 trading was characterised by a broader and more balanced mix of M&A and ECM activity, with Execution Services also making a significant contribution to group revenues.
The revenue figure follows a sharp turnaround in Peel Hunt's full-year results, which showed FY26 revenue up 57.1% to £143.5m and a swing to a £21.1m pre-tax profit from a £3.5m loss, driven by record Investment Banking fees and expanded distribution following the opening of an Abu Dhabi office.
Peel Hunt said risks remain around the timing and execution of transactions, but that it enters the second half with a solid pipeline of opportunities across a diverse range of transactions.
The company will report half-year results for the period on 18 November.
