Tap Global Group (LSE:TAP), the AIM-listed digital finance app combining money, payments and crypto settlement in one platform, reported revenue of approximately £3 million for the year ended 30 June, around 7% ahead of market expectations.

The adjusted EBITDA loss came in at approximately £0.26 million, some 80% narrower than the £1.3 million loss the Board says the market had expected. Including other income of £0.2 million, the firm posted an EBITDA loss of approximately £55,000 for the year, and was EBITDA profitable in the second half.

Tap held cash of £402,000 at year-end plus cryptoasset holdings of £1.75 million, giving combined resources of £2.15 million.

The Tap Earn yield product, launched fully in May, has grown assets under management to over $5.6 million, up 61% in three months, with stablecoin yield rates raised to as much as 8.0%.

The programme has delivered fifteen consecutive weekly payouts and generated around $125,000 in yield revenue, an annualised gross yield of approximately 7% on committed capital. Cumulative deposits since launch total $6.9 million against withdrawals of $0.7 million.

The results span a year in which Bitcoin fell 45% from its October peak and industry-wide exchange volumes more than halved.

"In crypto's hardest year since 2022, Tap has outperformed market expectations for revenue and EBITDA," said Arsen Torosian, group CEO and co-founder, adding that Tap Earn assets grew 43% even as prices fell during the drawdown.

The board said FY27 is approximately scaling and sustained profitability, with current market expectations of £3.7 million revenue and a £0.2 million adjusted EBITDA loss.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Tap Global beat FY26 revenue and EBITDA expectations in a year when crypto volumes halved and Bitcoin fell 45%, posting £3.0m revenue (7% ahead of forecast) and an adjusted EBITDA loss of £0.26m (80% narrower than expected). The driver is Tap Earn, its yield product launched in May, which has grown to $5.6m in assets under management in three months and generated $125,000 in yield revenue at a 7% gross return on committed capital, with 15 consecutive weekly payouts and a net deposit inflow of $6.2m.

Investment case

Tap Global has demonstrated revenue growth and EBITDA improvement in adverse market conditions, with Tap Earn proving a material revenue contributor and showing customer retention (net deposits positive despite liquidity restrictions). However, the company's combined cash and cryptoasset position of £2.15m remains tight against FY27 guidance of a £0.2m adjusted EBITDA loss, leaving limited runway if Tap Earn growth slows or market conditions deteriorate further.
