Alien Metals (AIM:UFO), an AIM-listed minerals exploration and development company, has noted an announcement from GreenTech Metals (ASX: GRE) confirming mobilisation plans for drilling at two West Pilbara projects in Western Australia: the Munni Munni platinum group element, copper and nickel project, and the Whundo copper, zinc and gold project.

GreenTech's board-approved programme totals approximately 8,310 metres, comprising 4,750 metres of reverse circulation drilling and 3,560 metres of diamond drilling, with wider-diameter diamond holes included to support metallurgical composite sampling.

A first drill rig is due on site in late July, with a second rig to follow once an eight-day heritage survey, scheduled to commence 10 August, clears additional drill locations across the Munni Munni mineralised footprint.

Ahead of that clearance, initial drilling will begin from existing approved pads at Munni Munni and focus on high-grade copper-gold extensions at Whundo.

A government co-funded fixed-loop electromagnetic geophysical survey, covering approximately 8.2 square kilometres at an estimated cost of A$200,000, with A$100,000 provided by the Western Australian Government, is scheduled to begin in early July to refine basal contact drill targets.

Metallurgical testwork results, focused on producing a copper and platinum group element concentrate, are expected in August and will feed into a resource re-estimation and an initial scoping study.
