EnergyPathways (AIM:EPP) is to use a series of investor meetings next month to update the market on its flagship Marram Energy Storage Hub (MESH) project, so says stockbroker to SP Angel, which says it is a chance to detail operational and corporate progress as MESH approaches critical milestones.

The AIM-listed energy storage developer's chief executive, Ben Clube, is set to attend the Investor Summit in London on 18 September and an investor event in Aberdeen on 24 September, the broker highlighted in a note on Monday.

David Mirzai, SP Angel's energy specialist, sees the meetings as a chance to detail operational and corporate progress as MESH approaches critical milestones.

Mirzai meanwhile noted that significant progress has been made over the past 18 months on MESH, whose major long-duration energy storage (LDES) elements are treated by the UK government as a development of national significance.

He highlights that EnergyPathways is preparing to enter its compressed air energy storage (CAES) element into the second window of Ofgem's cap and floor scheme, following the regulator's inclusion of the technology at small scale in the first round. And, pointed to funding and capacity offtake discussions already under way.

SP Angel noted expectation that the project can draw interest from project-based lending banks, infrastructure funds and commodity trading houses for the broader MESH development.
