Conroy Gold and Natural Resources, the Ireland-focused gold explorer, reported step-out drill results from its Clontibret project that strengthen the case for a continuous mineralised corridor connecting the existing resource to the Corcaskea target area.
Hole CGC-25-005 returned nine gold intersections, with the headline intervals of 4.8 metres at 1.3 grams per tonne gold, including 0.9 metres at 3.1 grams per tonne, and a separate 1.0 metre at 2.7 grams per tonne.
The drill hole sits roughly 150 metres north of historic hole CL84-1, and the two holes intersected many of the same interpreted Eastern Zone lodes, with four zones in the new hole showing stronger grade and greater width than their counterparts in the older drill data.
Corcaskea has previously returned trench results of 16.5 metres at 6.5 grams per tonne gold, making the interpreted northward extension commercially significant if continuity is confirmed through further work.
"The successful intersection of multiple mineralised lodes approximately 150 metres north of previous drilling, together with stronger grade and thickness values in several zones, is encouraging," said Chairman John Sherman, pointing to "the potential linkage between Clontibret resource area and Corcaskea."
