Everyman Media Group reported revenue of £69.8m for the 26 weeks ended 2 July, up 23.5% from £56.5m a year earlier, according to its unaudited interim results.

The AIM-listed premium cinema chain swung to a statutory pre-tax profit of £1.9m, against a £3.4m loss in the same period last year, a result that includes a one-off £2.2m share-based payment credit.

Admissions climbed 20.5% to 2.6m, driving EBITDA on a post-IFRS 16 basis up 32.0% to £10.8m from £8.2m.

Market share rose to 6.4% from 5.8%, with five venues ranking in the UK's top 20 for growth, while average ticket price increased 4.1% to £12.97 and food and beverage spend per head rose 3.0% to £11.41.

Net bank debt fell to £17.4m from £24.2m, with gross debt reduced by £5m since the year-end to £25m, as the company manages leverage ahead of new venue openings.

"We have momentum and a strong focus to manage the business with discipline and prudent investment", said chief executive Farah Golant.

Planned openings at Lichfield, Elephant & Castle and High Street Kensington are anticipated in the second half of 2027, funded through free cash flow and dependent on property access.

Directors currently expect full-year performance to be marginally ahead of 2025, citing a strong content pipeline including Sense and Sensibility in September and Avengers: Doomsday in December, though they flagged caution given the economic backdrop and the weight of fourth-quarter trading on annual results.
