Wizz Air Holdings said it carried 7.13 million passengers in May, up 26% year-on-year, and recorded a load factor of 91.7%, a 0.5ppt increase versus last year.
Capacity increased 25.4% to 7.77 million seats in May, an acceleration into the summer season from the 22% year-on-year passenger growth reported for April, the company said.
Wizz Air resumed services to Tel Aviv on May 28, reconnecting Israel to multiple European destinations including Athens, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Krakow, Larnaca, London, Milan, Rome, Sofia and Warsaw.
Italian expansion continues with Wizz Air basing an 11th aircraft at Milan Malpensa from Sept. 14, a third aircraft at Naples from Dec. 14 and a fourth at Catania from Dec. 14, taking based aircraft in Italy from 29 in summer 2025 to 41 this summer across seven bases.

Wizz Air operated 77 incremental flights for fans travelling to the UEFA Champions League final from London and Paris over the last three days of May, achieving a 99.9% load factor.
Over the rolling 12 months Wizz Air reported capacity of 79.85 million seats and 72.41 million booked passengers versus 70.73 million seats and 64.46 million passengers in the prior period.
