Wizz Air Holdings carried 8.70 million passengers in August, up 25.9% year-on-year, the budget airline said.
Capacity rose 24.8% to 9.10 million seats, a slowdown from July's 30.4% seat growth rate but still consistent with Wizz Air's guidance for seat growth in the high twenties percent range for the September quarter.
The load factor reached 95.6%, up 0.8 percentage points against the prior year.
Wizz Air added a third Spanish base at the end of July, announcing a Santiago de Compostela operation that will deploy one based aircraft from 1 February 2027, serving five domestic and two international destinations.
This follows the airline's earlier announcement on 10 July of new bases at Madrid and Valencia, both due to open in November.
The airline also rolled out a redesigned My Journey mobile app platform under its Customer First Compass initiative, offering real-time flight information and personalised travel guidance through to departure.
Over the rolling 12 months to August, Wizz Air carried 77.81 million passengers on capacity of 85.49 million seats, up from 66.15 million passengers and 72.62 million seats a year earlier.
