Itaconix (AIM:ITX) says trading in the current year is in line with the board's expectations and that it expects the first half of FY2026 to be another record half.
The company, a leading innovator in high‑performance plant‑based specialty polymers, said FY2025 was its most successful year to date and that the Board remains confident in strategy, customer pipeline and long‑term growth opportunities.
Itaconix said its core Performance Ingredients business is gaining momentum in consumer detergent applications for scale inhibition and odour neutralisation as customers adopt safer, higher‑performing and more sustainable ingredients.
Management said it is tracking reorder rates from new customers to assess expected growth through 2026.
The company said geopolitical disruption in the Middle East has hindered production and supply of competing fossil‑based speciality chemicals, while Itaconix’s plant‑based supply chain and gross profit margins have remained steady.
In May, the group launched deeperclean.com, targeting North American detergent brand owners and showcased an 8-gram plant‑based dishwashing tablet first shown at the American Cleaning Institute's Innovation Showcase.
The e-commerce site is intended to let brand and formulation managers sample and evaluate formulations ahead of consumer testing.
Itaconix said it is developing a new class of paints under its BIO*Asterix programme with an established speciality paint partner.
The company said it began agricultural evaluation trials of BioVail™ GRZ™ 200L in June and that results are expected after harvest.
