Alien Metals (AIM:UFO) says a down‑hole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey run by JV partner West Coast Silver (ASX: WCE) has modelled a discrete conductive plate roughly 110 metres beneath surface and 50 metres east of the Elizabeth Hill mine, a target the company calls capable of materially expanding the deposit if mineralisation is intersected.
West Coast Silver’s ASX announcement reports the plate measures about 60m north‑south and 20–100m down‑dip, with conductance in the 400–1,200 Siemens range. Historic hole AG54 (2m at 42 g/t Ag) sits 25m up‑dip and aligns with the plate. No prior drilling tested this depth. A single diamond hole from an existing pad is planned to reach ~150–170m downhole; drilling is being moved to the target immediately and is expected to be completed in the coming week. Assays from ongoing RC and diamond programs are due progressively through Q2.
This is the first application of DHEM at Elizabeth Hill, run by WCE with ERM and Southern Geosciences; Alien holds a 30% interest in Elizabeth Hill through its wholly owned subsidiary in the JV with Crest.
"The team is currently relocating the drill rig to test this shallow anomaly, which if it intersects mineralisation could materially expand the resource potential and have a significant impact on the Elizabeth Hill project," said Bruce Garlick, Executive Chairman.
Drilling will be the decisive test. The conductor’s grade, mineralogy and continuity remain unconfirmed until assays return.
