Botswana Minerals raises £1.15m in placing

The AIM-listed explorer raised £1,150,000, issuing new shares at 0.25p each, plus warrants.

Botswana Minerals PLC (LSE:BMIN) (BMIN) said in a filing it has raised £1,150,000 through a placing and subscription that issued 460,000,000 new ordinary shares at 0.25p per share, each carrying one share purchase warrant exercisable at 0.25p with an expiry date of one year from 20 March 2026.

The company said the proceeds will be used "primarily to further the Company's exploration programme on its copper-focused prospecting licences in North-West Botswana, as well as for working capital purposes," with the exploration programme "designed to take the high-priority anomalies to drill targets."
