Delta Gold Technologies (Aquis:AQT), an Aquis-listed technology company developing intellectual property in the quantum computing space, has moved into the second year of its research collaboration with the University of Toronto.

The project, titled "A Scheme for Quantum Computing based on Proximatised Gold", continues under Professor Harry Ruda, the company's Principal Investigator at the university.

The transition to Year 2 follows UofT's filing of a provisional patent arising from the programme, announced on 5 June.

Chief Executive R. Michael Jones said the filing "highlights the progress already being made through this collaboration and strengthens our confidence in the potential of the research as we continue to build value from our quantum computing IP strategy."

Jones also flagged a prospective expansion of the company's academic network, noting the potential for collaboration with Penn State University in the United States.
