ECR Minerals moves to lift Raglan gold recovery after Lidar survey and specialist review

"Put simply, alluvial gold production is about mining in the right locations, processing the right material and ensuring the plant settings are optimised for that material," the company said.

ECR Minerals (AIM:ECR), the gold exploration and development company focused on Australia, said a drone Lidar survey and an independent operational review have provided a pathway to higher and more consistent alluvial gold recovery at its Raglan Gold Project in Queensland.

The Lidar survey, completed by Victorian Geology and Survey Solutions in May, is being processed to refine palaeochannel mapping and mine planning while the specialist's review identified adjustments to gravity recovery systems, water management, jig performance and overall plant calibration that the board believes can increase recovery potential.

"Put simply, alluvial gold production is about mining in the right locations, processing the right material and ensuring the plant settings are optimised for that material," the company said.

ECR has also begun recruiting a consulting geologist to support exploration, development and production across Raglan and its wider Queensland portfolio, a move linked to completing its acquisition of Paleogold announced on 18 May.

The optimisation programme is now in place and the company said further operational updates will be issued as activities progress.
