Defence Holdings (LSE:LSE:VSVS), the UK's software-led defence technology group, has agreed a strategic partnership with Intelligence Management Support Services (IMSL) that makes IMSL the first formal delivery partner for its Accelerator programme.

The 24-month agreement includes a revenue participation mechanism linked to Accelerator introductions and is intended to give participating companies access to procurement frameworks, security advisory support and accredited operating environments.

The company says the tie-up targets a common barrier for early-stage defence technology firms: navigating procurement, accreditation and security processes that prevent commercial deployment.

Under the partnership IMSL will provide UK security advisory support, sell-through procurement framework access, accredited physical and virtual operating environments, bid-writing and grant assistance, access to cleared personnel and operational team augmentation capability.

Defence Holdings frames the deal as part of a broader Accelerator operating model that pairs capital and mentorship with practical deployment infrastructure, and it expects to add more strategic delivery partners over time.

"One of the greatest challenges facing emerging defence technology companies is not innovation, but navigating the operational, procurement and security requirements necessary to deploy capability into real-world Defence environments," said Andrew Roughan, CEO of Defence Holdings.

Defence Holdings and IMSL will also collaborate on bid support, commercial structuring and cash-flow financing initiatives to support contract delivery across the Accelerator cohort.
