Defence Holdings (LSE:ALRT) has secured its first revenue-generating contract with the UK Ministry of Defence, valued at approximately £226,000 over a three-month period.

The contract, awarded through a direct award mechanism, covers the testing and deployment of an integrated capability that fuses open-source and classified intelligence into a single analytical platform, generates Courses of Action, and supports rapid, human-controlled deployment of authorised effects across cyber, information and supply-chain domains.

The award follows a UK Government Transparency Notice published on 5 June, in which the Ministry of Defence signalled its intention to award the contract subject to procurement and approval processes, which have now completed.

"Securing and commencing our first revenue-generating Ministry of Defence contract is a defining milestone for Defence Holdings," said Chief Executive Andrew Roughan, adding that the company's focus is now on delivery and "continuing to build a portfolio of deployable sovereign software capabilities."

The contract is the first commercial engagement for the UK software-led defence technology group, which until now had not generated revenues from its Ministry of Defence work.

Delivery has commenced immediately, with the three-month engagement set to run through to early October.
