Ethtry Plc (LSE:ETHY) announced it has further expanded its Ethereum reserves, deploying GBP 100,000 to buy 66.6737 ETH at an average price of GBP 1,499.84 per ETH (inclusive of fees).
Following the purchase, Ethtry now holds a total of 816.6737 ETH on its balance sheet, acquired at a weighted average cost of GBP 2,209.26 per ETH.
Wednesday's announcement notes 750 ETH are already in the process of being staked; the newly acquired 66.6737 ETH "will also be staked in due course."
Once fully staked, the company expects the entire ETH holding to participate in Ethereum's native staking mechanism, generating periodic ETH rewards while contributing to network security and operation, the company said.
"This latest purchase reflects Ethtry's continued conviction in Ethereum as a strategic treasury asset. With our treasury position growing to 816.6737 ETH and our holdings moving into staking, we are continuing to build a treasury platform designed to create long-term shareholder value and meaningful exposure to the Ethereum ecosystem," said director Mike Murphy.
