Richmond Hill Resources (AIM:RHR), a mineral exploration company, has launched an initial field programme at its Martello Project, in Ontario, targeting three areas: New Church Lake, Sakoose, and Maw.

Two to three field days will be allocated to New Church Lake, where historical sampling reported high-grade gold values, with work focused on validating known mineralised zones and collecting samples from the best available exposures.

The remaining field time will cover Sakoose and Maw, which historical geological reports have suggested may form part of the same mineralised system.

A recent independent three-dimensional magnetic interpretation identified Sakoose as the highest-priority exploration area within the project and has provided a structural framework to test that interpretation.

The programme is expected to deliver field validation of all three targets, new assay results from selected high-priority zones, and a clearer picture of the possible structural relationship between Sakoose and Maw.

"This programme advances the targets that are ready for immediate fieldwork," said Hamish Harris, "focusing on the key Sakoose and Maw exposures to further assess their possible geological relationship, together with the New Church Lake target, where historical sampling reported high-grade gold values."

Results will be used to refine the geological model and inform planning for the next phase of exploration.
