Through the tyre's central void, a length of heavy brass ball chain is loosely coiled, appearing both as a decorative element and a symbol of restraint, with light reflecting off the brass spheres and creating a warm contrast against the matte black of the tyre. aiImage created using AI — nano_banana_2

Strip Tinning Holdings (AIM:STG) has begun serial production of CCS parts for the Zoox Robotaxi battery pack under its Batter Technologies (BT) nomination — the largest of the group's three major nominations. The award marks the transition from development to recurring manufacture for a product that the company has been qualifying since mid‑2024.

The group also confirmed progress across its glazing connectors pipeline. Serial production is under way for smart‑glass roof connectors on the Porsche Cayenne Electric and an Audi SUV model, with volumes scheduled to ramp over the coming months.

Separately, the Mercedes CLA programme has been accelerated, with serial production moved forward from Q3 to Q2 2026 and "several thousand parts per month" indicated.

"The start of serial production for the CCS parts for the Zoox Robotaxi battery packs is the culmination of considerable development work and significant investment by the company. The original nomination was secured in June 2024 and since that time we have progressed through protype, C and D samples to PPAP. This is a major milestone in the evolution of Strip Tinning, and we are excited by the opportunity this represents for the business," said CEO Mark Perrins.
