Powerhouse Energy Group plc (AIM:PHE) (AIM: PHE) has granted a non‑exclusive licence to Hydrogen Utopia International PLC (HUI) to market its Distributed Modular Generation ("DMG") technology across selected European markets, the company said.
The licence lets HUI promote DMG and investigate current opportunities, while also enabling development of further projects in central Europe. Powerhouse stressed the deal is non‑exclusive and that the operator or developer of any project using DMG will still need to pay additional operating licence fees.
The announcement highlights Powerhouse’s dual model: a technology platform that converts non‑recyclable waste into syngas and downstream products, and Engsolve — its revenue‑generating engineering consulting division — which supports deployment and project development.
"This was an unexpected opportunity which was presented to us but given the requirement for identifying non‑fossil fuel energy supplies, is excellent timing. This provides PHE, at no cost, access to a team of experienced people who are knowledgeable of our technology in central Europe at a time when the EU market is looking for ways to become self‑sufficient on energy products. We look forward to working with them to deliver on the considerable opportunities available in the region." Paul Emmitt, CEO, said.
