Talisman Metals reports high‑grade copper channel samples at Tirzzit

Channel sampling at its newly acquired Tirzzit Cu‑Ag project returned a best intercept of 2.65m at 1.71% Cu and 22.25ppm and demonstrated seven of seven channels above a 0.3% Cu cut‑off over 700m of strike within an interpreted 4.6km trend.

Talisman Metals (AIM:TLM) has announced channel sampling at the Tirzzit copper‑silver project that returned a top result of 2.65m at 1.71% Cu and 22.25ppm (TZ‑CH001) and showed all seven channel samples exceeded a 0.3% Cu cut‑off over a 700m strike length.

The sampled 700m of the interpreted 4.6km mineralised horizon averaged a true width of 1.25m at 1.21% Cu and 12.25ppm (weighted average) with an average alteration halo of about 2m.

"This work, combined with historical data, lays out an approximate 4.6km horizon of mineralisation with clear potential to extend mineralisation data points to the east and to the west," Tim McCutcheon, CEO, said.

Talisman reported six QA/QC inserts (≈5% blanks, 5% duplicates, 5% CRMs), laboratory three‑acid ICP analysis with detection limits of 5ppm Cu and 1ppm, field duplicates gave R² = 0.93 and CRMs returned copper ~14% below certified values which the company is reviewing.

The Tirzzit Project is a sediment‑hosted stratiform Cu‑Ag system 225km east of Agadir covering 16.5km², acquired from a subsidiary of Aya (the company’s 4.7% shareholder), with historical BRPM drilling including 3.16% Cu over 2.5m.

Talisman said it is reviewing the BRPM reports and past geophysics and expects to commence exploration and a drill programme in the third quarter while the formal licence transfer is being processed.
