First Development Resources (AIM:FDR) (AIM: FDR) has resumed its GAIP geophysical survey at Lander West in the Northern Territory after pausing field work during an unusually heavy rainy season. The company said the programme has been narrowed to prioritise the most prospective zones; about one-third of the revised survey area remains and is expected to be finished in approximately two weeks.
The GAIP survey, which began in early January 2026, is intended to sit alongside earlier high‑resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric surveys to better map subsurface geology and structural architecture and to sharpen drill targets. In early February the company temporarily demobilised the field crew after flooding made access tracks — particularly creek crossings — impassable, the announcement said.
Rather than repeating the original scope, the geophysical team remobilised with a refined programme focused on key target areas to “deliver high‑quality geophysical data in a shorter timeframe, supporting our objective of defining robust drill targets,” said CEO Tristan Pottas.
First Development emphasised the refined dataset should provide sufficient coverage to advance Lander West to the next phase of exploration once the outstanding lines are completed and processed.
