Oriole Resources (LSE:ORR) (ORR) said final diamond drilling at its 50%‑owned Mbe project returned a best intersection of 56.20m at 0.99g/t Au and will feed a maiden JORC resource due in Q2-2026.
Other notable results included 21.30m at 1.22g/t Au from 118.10m (including 7.00m at 2.09g/t) and 24.00m at 0.47g/t Au from 94.30m (including 2.00m at 2.21g/t), according to the filing. Mineralisation in MBDD038 and MBDD039 is predominantly hosted by sulphide‑telluride veinlets and breccias within felsic dykes.
The maiden Programme totalled 2,982.80m in 15 holes, the company said, and a QAQC review found assay data within acceptable limits. MBDD036 extended the mapped strike of the system to approximately 700m north‑south and the target remains open in all directions.
Oriole will engage Forge to prepare a maiden MRE for MB01‑N, scheduled for publication in Q2‑2026 and expected to add to the nearby MB01‑S JORC resource of 870,000oz, the company said. Management also noted a fully funded 2,500m step‑out drilling programme at MB01‑S is planned later this year. Chief Executive Martin Rosser said: "56.2m at almost 1g/t from very near surface."
The recap
• Best intersection 56.20m at 0.99g/t Au (MBDD039); 27 intersections reported from final four holes.
• Programme 2,982.80m in 15 holes; system extended to ~700m strike and remains open.
• Maiden MRE for MB01‑N due Q2‑2026; fully funded 2,500m step‑out at MB01‑S planned.
