Power Metal starts drilling at Molopo Farms as licence extended to 2028

Chief Executive Sean Wade said the campaign would "build on the significant body of work that has already taken place" and that "a district-scale discovery remains within our reach."

Power Metal Resources (AIM:POW), a London-listed metals exploration company, has begun drilling at its Molopo Farms Complex project in southwestern Botswana and confirmed the renewal of the project's prospecting licence through 31 March 2028.

The 1,600-metre core drilling programme targets five high-interest geological and geophysical locations on the eastern feeder zone of the Molopo Farms Igneous Complex.

The company said the current programme differs from previous campaigns by testing targets within the controlling structure of the complex and its related feeder dykes, rather than peripheral areas.

Target selection draws on Power Metal's own magnetic, audiomagnetotelluric (AMT), and time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) datasets, supplemented by recent ground magnetic traverses.

Power Metal holds an 87.71% interest in Kalahari Key Mineral Exploration, the Botswana-registered vehicle that owns the project outright.

Chief Executive Sean Wade said the campaign would "build on the significant body of work that has already taken place" and that "a district-scale discovery remains within our reach."

The programme is described as results-driven and may be adjusted as drilling data accumulates.
