Abingdon Health (AIM:ABDX), the AIM and OTCQB-listed developer, manufacturer and regulatory services provider for rapid diagnostic tests and med-tech, officially opened its new manufacturing hub at the University Research Park in Madison, Wisconsin.

The ribbon-cutting drew Congressman Mark Pocan, Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Secretary John Miller and members of the Wisconsin State Legislature, alongside leaders from the state's biohealth industry.

The facility gives Abingdon Health added infrastructure and capacity to grow its US operations and meet demand for diagnostic testing products made domestically.

Chris Yates, president of Abingdon Health USA and chief commercial officer of Abingdon Health, said the hub "enables us to offer a more comprehensive and integrated 'end-to-end' CDMO solution for our US customers, paving the way for continued growth in the biggest med-tech market in the world."

He added that the attendance of local political and industry figures reflected recognition of "the importance of high-quality, domestic diagnostics manufacturing for the United States as well our investment in Madison and its community."
