Genedrive (AIM:GDR), the AIM-listed point of care pharmacogenetic testing company, said Graham Cole CBE has joined its board as Chair and independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Cole spent more than four decades in UK and international leadership roles across advanced engineering, manufacturing and technology.

He previously chaired Westland Helicopters, overseeing worldwide annual revenues of around £4 billion, and served as Managing Director of global operations within the AgustaWestland Group. He also sat on the board of AgustaWestland's parent, Finmeccanica UK, and was appointed CBE in 2004 for services to the aerospace industry.

Genedrive noted that its search for two further independent Non-Executive Directors remains ongoing, with further announcements expected in due course.

"As we continue to accelerate the adoption of our pharmacogenetic tests in the UK and internationally, Graham's strategic expertise and guidance will be integral to the Board," said Dr Gino Miele, chief executive of Genedrive.
