Seeing Machines (AIM:SEE) has secured two Automotive programme awards to deliver its Driver and Occupant Monitoring System software to two separate Japanese manufacturers via a leading European and a Japanese Tier 1 supplier.

The awards cover multiple vehicle platforms scheduled for production from 2028, span single‑ and dual‑camera architectures including steering column‑mounted and overhead console positions, and are expected to generate an initial lifetime value of approximately US$11 million, the company which focuses on advanced computer vision for transport safety said.

"We are delighted to secure these new programs with Japanese automotive manufacturers, further strengthening our position as a global leader in Driver and Occupant Monitoring technology," Paul McGlone, CEO, said.

Seeing Machines said the wins underline growing momentum among Japanese OEMs adopting in‑cabin sensing to support semi‑automated driving and to meet evolving safety assessment requirements such as Euro NCAP.

The awards were won through existing Tier 1 customers of Seeing Machines, which the company said reinforces its position as a trusted partner to suppliers and vehicle manufacturers deploying next‑generation safety systems at scale.

Seeing Machines added that, as with many OEM programmes, these initial awards are expected to underpin future organic growth as platforms, model variants and geographic deployment expand over time.
