ATOME extends Villeta funding longstop

ATOME PLC (AIM:ATOM) has extended the longstop date for funding its US$650 million, 260,000 tonnes-per-year Villeta fertiliser project in Paraguay to Wednesday 22 April to allow finalisation of equity documentation and the Company's financial arrangements.

The Villeta plant has a 145MW renewable power purchase agreement, sits on a 30-hectare tax-free site with an option on 13 additional hectares, and benefits from a 10‑year Definitive Offtake Agreement covering all production with Yara International. ATOME previously announced Hy24 as anchor equity investor and a US$465 million fixed-price EPC contract with Casale S.A.

The company said it is continuing to negotiate project finance with a view to commencing work in 2026.
