Roadside Real Estate (AIM:ROAD) said the acquisition of D. A. Roberts Fuels (DAR) will miss the originally anticipated timetable after the recent passing of the target's major shareholder, which has necessitated an accelerated probate process.

The company said the probate requirement creates an unavoidable delay to completion, and it now expects the DAR acquisition to be completed by the end of June, superseding the timetable given in its 29 April announcement.

Because of the delay to DAR, Roadside said the separate acquisition of Hoch Group (HOCH) is also expected to complete before the end of June.
