Kendrick Resources drill results confirm high-grade rare earth continuity at Teufelskuppe

New pXRF results from three diamond drill holes return peak grades above 15 wt% total rare earth oxides, with certified lab analysis pending.

Kendrick Resources (LSE:KEN), the Namibia-focused rare earth explorer, has reported portable X-ray fluorescence (pXRF) analytical results from diamond drill holes TKDD001 to TKDD003 at its Teufelskuppe project, with peak readings reaching 15.10 wt% total rare earth oxides (TREO).

Previously unanalysed core from TKDD001 returned individual pXRF values of up to 6.42 wt% TREO in the upper section of the hole, alongside the already-reported intercept of 8.14 wt% TREO over 21.16 metres.

TKDD002 delivered peak individual readings of 15.10 wt% and 10.02 wt% TREO, with a mineralised intercept of 2.75 metres at 4.91 wt% TREO from 109.25 metres depth.

TKDD003 confirmed continuity with intercepts including 10.91 wt% TREO over 1.25 metres from 90.75 metres and 4.67 wt% TREO over 3.75 metres from 42.75 metres, with consistently high individual readings between zones of core loss.

Light rare earth oxides account for more than 95% of total rare earth oxides across all three holes, with neodymium and praseodymium together averaging approximately 25% of the rare earth pool by weight.

Samples have been dispatched for certified laboratory analysis.

"We would expect this continuity to be reflected in the Mineral Resource Estimate," said Chairman Colin Bird, adding that drilling is continuing "at pace" ahead of a formal resource estimate for the project.

The company is progressing JORC 2012 certification of a provisional 14 million tonne surface mineral resource estimate announced in May.
