Synectics (LSE:SNX), the AIM-listed advanced security and surveillance systems group, has received £1.5 million in new orders from Stagecoach through its wholly owned systems integration subsidiary, Ocular Integration.

Approximately £1.1 million of the total represents call-offs under Ocular's recently extended five-year framework agreement with Stagecoach, covering the supply and installation of CCTV systems on 190 new electric buses entering the operator's fleet, with the majority of that work scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 through the first quarter of 2027.

A further £0.4 million, placed outside the framework, covers retrofitting CCTV on 71 buses owned by a separate UK transport authority but operated by Stagecoach, with delivery expected in the third and fourth quarters of 2026.

All 261 vehicles will be connected to Synectics' Transport Cloud Services, adding to the company's recurring revenue stream.

Chief Executive Amanda Larnder said the orders represent "encouraging early momentum" under the extended framework and reinforce a relationship with Stagecoach that Ocular has maintained since 2003.

The electric-bus component also supports Stagecoach's target of a fully zero-emission fleet by 2035, positioning Ocular as an embedded supplier through the operator's fleet renewal programme.
