Cloudbreak Discovery (LSE:CDL) has executed Heritage Protection Agreements covering all three of its Western Australian exploration projects, removing a significant prerequisite to field activity across its portfolio.
The AIM-listed gold explorer said the most advanced project, Darlot West, has received Programme of Work approval from the Western Australian Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration, with drill hole locations confirmed for an initial 3,000 to 5,000 metre aircore campaign targeting structural features identified through geophysical interpretation.
The remaining step before drilling can begin is completion of a heritage survey by the Watarra Aboriginal Corporation to provide final site clearance.
At Crofton, where site access had been restricted for a prolonged period, field activities are expected to resume during the next quarter, comprising geological mapping, rock-chip sampling of historical soil anomalies returning more than 25 parts per billion gold, and a broader soil sampling campaign aimed at prioritising drill targets later in the year.
Cloudbreak also appointed Dahrouge Geological Consulting as consulting geologist to support its Western Australian programme.
"We are well positioned to commence significant field activities in the coming months," said Managing Director Tom Evans, citing the maiden aircore drilling programme at Darlot West as the near-term priority following heritage survey completion.
