Transense Technologies (AIM:TRT), the AIM-listed developer of advanced sensor technology, said its SAWsense torque-sensing technology has been used in a hybrid-electric flight demonstration developed with Unison, a GE Aerospace company.
The propulsion system incorporating the technology completed the first hybrid-electric flight above 30,000 feet and the first hybrid-electric transatlantic crossing, showcased at the Farnborough International Airshow.
