Beowulf Mining has begun a 1,000-metre infill drilling campaign at its Kallak iron ore project in northern Sweden, aiming to upgrade near-surface resource classifications ahead of a future feasibility study.

Bacchus Capital and affiliated entities are leading a £4.3 million financing round in the AIM-listed mineral explorer, subject to Swedish regulatory approval and a shareholder vote later this month.

Beowulf Mining's Finnish subsidiary has extended its land reservation in Kotka to June 2027, buying time to advance permitting and engineering as a binding investment deal nears completion.

The small-cap miner agreed non-binding terms for a proposed minimum £3.5m investment from Bacchus Capital & Affiliates, as part of a £4m financing, to recapitalise the company and fund development of its Kallak iron ore project and Grafintec graphite plans.

The preliminary technical study for Aitolampi models a c.700,000 tpa ore scenario and positions the project as a potential feedstock source for a planned anode materials plant at Kotka.

Beowulf Mining said the Swedish Government’s decision to prioritise critical infrastructure investment is a direct positive for its Kallak iron ore project, which lies about 40km from a key rail corridor.
